Every year for the past three years, I've been jumping in my car and heading over the Cascade mountains to a scenic little town called Cle Elum, WA. There is a fun horse park there called the Washington State Horse Park. It has a lot of trails surrounded by pine trees and several outdoor arenas. The NW Reined Cow Horse Association puts together a fun event every August. I love it because it's something different for me. There's not a lot of bling, working tack is the choice to show in. There is always a feeling of a close knit group at the show and everyone seems to give advice freely. I think they are all getting used to me showing up.
