Settling in slowly to my gypsy home with a cold...

Today I made my very first cup of tea in my new gypsy home. I had a horrible cold come on Thursday afternoon...It's taken quite a while to get here. When I first started remodeling this trailer, I think everyone thought I had lost my freaking mind. However, now when people stop to check on the progression, they are amazed.

I wish I had taken more before and after shots...but these are the ones I was able to find...

So originally this trailer had the traditional oak colored cabinets, laminate counter tops, and terrible wall paper and linoleum flooring. I used oil based white cabinet paint for the cabinets. I used high heat Rustoleum spray paint on the oven and stove top and the fan (love my taping job?) On the counter tops I used Ardex Feather Finish Concrete. It was an interesting experience for sure! I left imperfections in the finish because I wanted it to look like industrial concrete. I painted a light gray on the walls and then found a stick on white subway gel tile on Amazon for the back splash. Of course nothing is plumb in a movable home so I used gray grout to trick the eye as much as I could to make it look like the counter tops are perfectly level. There is only so much one can do...

So this is the start of my remodeling adventure and many more to come...
